Gabriel Jesus.. MANCHESTER CITY NEW GOLDEN BOY

Gabriel Jesus’s Brazil won Olympic gold after beating Germany on penalties in the Rio 2016 final.

The incoming City forward helped his side win gold in football for the first time in their illustrious history.
Withdrawn on 95 minutes after a fully committed performance, the 19-year-old threatened Germany’s back line with his pace and endeavour.
Jesus’s highlight of the tournament came in the semi-final against Honduras, where his two clinical finishes buoyed Brazil to a 6-0 thrashing.
The home side went ahead in the final after 27 minutes when Neymar curled an unstoppable free-kick in off the crossbar to send the excitable home crowd into delirium.
Max Meyer muted the carnival atmosphere inside the Maracana when he equalised just under the hour mark, with the Schalke midfielder’s smart strike from twelve yards capping a period of German pressure.
Jesus’s best chance in front of goal came when Renato Augusto found his clever run inside the box, but Germany’s Jeremy Toljan did just enough to divert his effort wide.
After the two sides couldn’t be separated in 120 minutes, Neymar calmly slotted the winning penalty home to provide the moment his country craved; winning the gold medal match two years on from World Cup agony.
