Rennes rule out Odegaard swoop
Rennes will not be signing Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard on loan, according to Mikael Silvestre.
The former Manchester United defender acts as an advisor to Rennes chief Rene Ruello.
Silvestre told RMC: “Martin [Odegaard] is not going to come [to Rennes] this summer due to his age. He is still a minor, he will turn 18 in December.
“Real Madrid do not want to take risks – they are still under threat of a FIFA sanction, of which they are awaiting the outcome of the appeal. The player is going to stay at Real Madrid.”
